So, you ask — how do two full-time, self-employed Realtors® take a family vacation? Great question.
As you read this, we have just returned from a one-week vacation on Sanibel Island. Since it’s a favorite destination of ours, we bid on and won a trip through Edmondson Elementary’s silent auction a few months ago (thank you Judy for your extremely generous donation to our school).
Here’s how it played out. We booked this Florida trip to kick-off our summer. Just after booking, we helped our awesome ‘Allen Team’ buyer client moving here from Florida contract their perfect pre-market Brentwood home. Guess what? Sellers needed a quick close (read during our vacation) with leaseback. No worries, our clients were closing POA anyway. Next, our awesome ‘Allen Team’ seller client–moving from Franklin to Florida– listed with us and we sold the house on day one for full price! So, when do you think the buyer needed to close? You got it (read during our vacation). We got this too. No worries.
But, wait! There’s more. Add one more closing to the mix–investor client– nothing to do with Florida (except that we would be there). No problem. We now face three closings and a pending hug with palm trees and swims in the Gulf of Mexico.
Technology greatly facilitated our ability to stay in touch, BUT what really, TRULY guaranteed a stress-free week was our incredibly talented escrow agent, Deborah Bissell, and escrow officer, Amelia Swanson, back in our RE/MAX Choice Brentwood office. I’m pretty sure Midtown Title‘s President/Owner, Chris Corriveau was off scuba diving with dolphins in the Caribbean (because he can). He hires only the best and we are so very grateful.
As a result, and with the help of Deborah (BTW, from FLA) and Amelia and others at our office- plus amazing, understanding clients- we were able to still be of service, put our family in first priority AND enjoy the beach. Thank you!
How do you like our new business card holder?
