Our former and current clients received notice of a relocation and it was time to scurry and help make their dreams come true. These fine folks were making plans to move home to be near family and raise their sweet, precious daughter.

Our Nashville Staycation Goes VRBO

October 11, 2015 By Melissa Allen 2 Comments

I’m a little bit teary and a lot excited. See, we recently purchased and renovated a two-bedroom condo in our gem of a downtown and now I have to share. Don’t get me wrong, I want everyone to experience Nashville. Its awesomeness should not be kept secret! The tears come in because for a few weekends this summer, it was solely ours. We could escape to our home away from home at just a moments notice. I left the ‘burbs long enough to reconnect with my city through the fresh exciting eyes of a traveler and remembered why I love living here. And now I must ration my stays.

But, that’s enough of that. Let me tell you how amazing our renovation project turned out and then give you the link so you can book, and/or tell all your friends, or both.

Lose Yourself in the Nashville Symphony Show House

June 19, 2015 By Melissa Allen 2 Comments

How lucky am I? Last week I attended a sneak peek Garden Party and Preview tour of the Nashville Symphony Show House. Thank you Forest Home Media.

Wow, just wow! I want one just like it. It was beautiful and comfortable. Stunning, yet not ostentatious. Perfect comes to mind. Perfection compliments of Castle Homes, Wade Weissman Architecture, and a slew of other amazingly talented locals. [Read more…]

We Are Just Two in Nine-Thousand

April 7, 2015 By Melissa Allen Leave a Comment

Nine-thousand. Yep, that’s how many Realtors® there are right here in Middle Tennessee. You have choices. We have competition…. But then there is the 80-20 Rule–remember Pareto’s Principle? …

The 80/20 Rule means that in anything a few (20 percent) are vital and many (80 percent) are trivial.

We prefer vital. And we’ve gone Platinum. [Read more…]

Just Listed in the Sweetest Little Gem of a Neighborhood

March 26, 2015 By Melissa Allen Leave a Comment

I’m feeling nostalgic today.

We just listed a home in our old neighborhood: Williams Grove. Nope that’s not it in the above photo, but that is part of the package. The feature photo above is the original Williams farmhouse (now the community clubhouse) where we had countless birthday parties for both my kiddos, my 40th birthday bash, several bachelorette parties, dinner clubs, couples Bunco … you get the picture. And just so you know, I drive by Williams Grove almost everyday, but this particular ‘listing day’ evoked a lot of emotion surrounding these great memories that I cherish. [Read more…]

Want to Start an Auction War?

February 27, 2015 By Melissa Allen Leave a Comment

Nope, not at the courthouse steps— how about the schoolhouse steps?! I’m speaking of a silent auction in support of our public elementary school, Edmondson Elementary School. Those of you who know me well know that PTOs (or PTAs) are a cause very near and dear to my heart. I have always loved being involved in my children’s schools. It is incredibly rewarding and I have met some truly, truly awesome folks (and I’m talking lifetime friends, people I can really count on and trust)…  [Read more…]
