Franklin began its humble beginnings late in the year 1799 by a state senator and a friend of Hugh Williamson which Williamson County was named after. Rich in Civil War history, the Battle of Franklin was fought in the city in 1864 and most of the city was turned into field hospitals at the time. Today, a Civil War monument is prominent in the town square located at 3rd and Main Street in addition to several historical homes located in the area.
Franklin Tennessee is located about 30 minutes south of Nashville and about 10 to 15 miles South of Brentwood along Interstate 65 just off Highway 96. It’s currently home to about 85,500 residents with the median household income of about $102,000. Home to several elementary and middle schools, prominent healthcare services and medical facilities, Franklin is a wonderful place to raise children, grow your family, or retire in a sleepy suburb town of Nashville.

Started by six local merchants in 2001 to generate more business, this is grown into a sold-out show each year which raises money for the Boys and Girls Club. The Pumpkinfest is also a great fall time event which is a fundraiser for the Heritage Foundation and is held every year on the Saturday before Halloween. There are several Halloween themed activities, music, fabulous fair food and local artisans. Dickens of a Christmas is another event not to miss when Franklin is transformed to Victorian-era charm to celebrate the holiday season.
